Normally it is used on Pharmaceutical, Industrial and Food application whereby the Carrageenan extracted from this particular seaweed is used for substitute for fat, retain moisture in processing meat such as beef patty and control dehydration of frozen poultry. It improves clarity in Beer, Wine and Vinegar, stabilizes and improves viscosity in flavor release. It is also used as stabilizing agent in canned Meat and Fish for pet food. Other usage like Ceramic coating and extrusion products, anti-ices, humidity control, liquid scouring cleaners, industrial suspension and slurry, paper, textile and carpet printing, flame retardant and foams, oil well completion fluids, gelling agent in air-fresheners, gentrifies, drug delivery system, wound dressing, cosmetics hand lotions, bathing soap-and shampoos, contraceptive gels, stabilizing agent for toothpaste and many more.
